Volunteers needed

Dear Parents,

During the course of the school year, many volunteers will be needed to help listen to students read in French, help with art or science projects, etc.  If you are interested in receiving emails regarding volunteer sign up opportunities through the Sign up Genius website (http://www.signupgenius.com), please email me  if you want to be added to the class volunteer list. Thank you!

Before you sign up to volunteer, please make sure you had have the volunteer orientation session. The next one is scheduled on Monday October 6 at 8:30 AM. For more information please consult the school blog.

This month activities:

 

• This week, we will start our reading program. Please read with your child on a daily basis and make sure they are returning their books! If not, please let me know! Thank you for your cooperation! 

 

• Monthly words: (Feel free to ask you child about these words): 

aimer, amie, amuser, an, animal, animaux, auto, avec, barbe, bonjour, bonne, brique, bravo, bouche, c'est, cacher

above, across, after, again, almost, along, also, always, animals, another, answer, any, asked, aunt, because, begin

• Math: We are still working on repetitive patterns. Next step will be growing patterns and pattern using numbers.

• Science: Everything liquid! Plus the most important liquid, water!

• Social Studies: We are studying the geography of the Nunavut, Saskatchewan and Nova-Scotia.

• Religion: We are God's Children and we are talking about friendship.
